I Digress

Dear Mr. President,

I recently filled up my gas tank at a local station and was disheartened with the high prices. I have just one question at this time Mr. President:

WHERE THE HELL IS ALL OF THAT OIL WE WENT TO WAR FOR? THE LIBERALS AND THE MSM KEEP TELLING ME THAT THAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF GOING INTO IRAQ; BUT WHERE THE HELL IS MY .50 PER GALLON GAS? HASN'T HALLIBURTON FRAC'D THE WELLS YET? HAVEN'T AMERICAN OIL COMPANIES SET THEIR DERRICKS YET? WHY AREN'T THERE OIL TANKERS IN THE ATLANTIC BURSTING AT THE SEAMS BECAUSE THEIR BELLIES ARE OVERFILLED? WHY HASN'T GREENPEACE BEEN OUT CLEANING UP AND PROTESTING ALL OF THESE OIL SPILLS THAT WERE SUPPOSE TO BE HAPPENING? SO CONFIDENT OF YOUR PLAN MR. PRESIDENT, IN JUNE OF LAST YEAR I PURCHASED A GAS GUZZLING SUV. I SALIVATED AT THE MOUTH KNOWING THAT ONE DAY SOON I WOULD BE ABLE TO FILL IT'S 24 GALLON TANK FOR LESS THAN THE COST OF A BEAUTY SCHOOL HAIRCUT. ON THURSDAY MORNING, HOUSEWIFE AND HER MEN STEP ON A PLANE FOR TEXAS; SHOULD I EXPECT THE FLIGHT ATTENDENT TO BE STANDING AT THE DOOR WITH A COLLECTION PLATE TO COVER THE COST OF FUEL? "THIS IS YOUR CAPTAIN SPEAKING; UNLESS ALL OF YOU PONY UP ANOTHER $50 A PIECE THIS PLANE AIN'T PICKING IT'S ASS UP OFF THE GROUND". PLEASE MR. PRESIDENT, I BEG YOU, GET THE OIL WE WENT TO WAR FOR.

Mr. President, you can contact me by e-mail with the address I've listed in the sidebar of my blog. Thank you for your time.

Loyal Jingoist,

Stacy

I went to get gas today nd passed by one station- it couldn't be that expensive. It was. It had to be cheaper elsewhere. It wasn't.

Bravo!

I recently had a letter to the editor published in a local liberal rag, which was in response to an interview they had with Gore Vidal. He nonchalantly called the War in Iraq a War for Oil, and I posed the same question: if it's truly a war for oil, why is the price skyrocketing? We should be bathing in oil. It's just a cliche designed to look good on a bumper sticker.

Beautiful work as always, Stacy.

Yeah, I just practically laugh my ass off every time I hear some dim wit go off about "it's all about oil".

It never was, it never will be (with this President), and THANK GOD FOR IT!!!

LOL. Very well done.

You're running on all eight.

Dear Stacy,

I understand your concern. I misunderestimated how much Dick Cheney and I needed to stock our secret underground storage tanks. Our plan is to eventually put the oil and gas on the market -- but we will sale only to conservatives and neocons.

Drop by Crawford while you're in God's country.

Very Respectfully,

W

p.s. Don't tell the Monk yet. He travels a lot and he'd probably get a case of the ass unless he knew the plan -- I can only tell a few people for now.

Would that be the 3 M's?

I know what it is. He didn't cut me out of the loop. He's waiting to invite me to the ranch to tell me. That must be it :)

Have fun in Texas!

I love it!

We're paying $2.17 here in Salisbury, MD. I'm about 2 hours from Dover AFB, and I thought for sure that they'd be bringing the oil in through there; so we here on the eastern shore of the Republic of Maryland would get the first cheap fuel! But I'm still waiting.

But wait! Maybe, just maybe, the war isn't about oil. Maybe it's just a ruse to distract the country in order to get John Bolton in to the UN, and to get a few conservatives appointed to the Supreme Court.

It's all Rove's fault.
:)

LOL Love the post from W and 3M, very clever.

It's an uninformed, narrow-minded liberal cop out. Most of my liberal friends drive SUVs and complain about " a war for oil." File these nimrods in the same category as the "war is not the answer, but peace is" category.

They'll never change. They are not open to change. They don't read nor listen to anyone that has opinions contrary to theirs. My liberal friends have blocked my email address, and surely never read my blog. Quite sad.
