Now allow me the opportunity
Now allow me the opportunity to attach this 'Kick Me' sign to the back of my shirt. You would think that when I stood in line last November to purchase unplanned #2's Christmas present (an I-Pod) and everyone in front of me and everyone behind me were also purchasing I-Pod's that I might have thought "hey, this is a great idea, I wonder how much Apple stock is right now?". Or perhaps I would have thought of it when my husband, so taken with #2's I-Pod immediately purchased one for himself right after Christmas. Or when I've spent the past month telling my husband "I want an I-Pod for Valentine's Day", that maybe I would have looked at stock prices, but no, I didn't. From July to present Apple stock has quadrupled, all because of I-Pod's. These things have to rank within the top 10 list of all time greatest technological inventions. I'm in love with the one I received!!!
I don't enjoy receiving roses, I'd rather you buy me a rose bush AND plant it for me (I do all the planting); and diamond studs are not going to get me through the last 1/2 mile of my run, but an I-Pod blaring Rob Zombie will!!! I am one of those odd women who actually prefers something practical for a gift. A new Electrolux vacuum? I'm there!!! A new bread machine? I'm also there!!! (Make sure you know your woman well.)
Cards are a must; I myself though have this nasty habit of shredding the cards I receive from my husband when I get angry at him. Almost 19 years of marriage and the only card I have to show is the one I received today. I don't even have my last birthday card, and that was three months ago. I'm not too fond of the evil woman within.
And my husband? He received the Vermont Teddy Bear's Co. 'Crazy For You Bear'. He loves collectibles, so this banned bear was perfect.
Forgive my ramblings and hug someone you love. Happy Valentine's Day.
