Not too often do I
Not too often do I post on serious issues, but they are a part of our reality. I frequent a respected blogger, Janette, and she has posted heavily on the Terri Schiavo debate. MSM has once again not been entirely honest with this story. Most of what I've seen in the media presented this issue as a 'right to die' one. That is not what the actual story is.
Through Janette's multiple postings and numerous links I have learned quite a bit. Much of the evidence is pointing towards Terri's husband, Michael Schiavo allegedly being the one who hurt her. He has been fighting for her death for years. Denying her feeding tubes, therapy, cards, flowers, gifts and even companionship from friends, family and medical professionals. Activists judges are in agreement with Michael Schiavo and I think they are using Terri as a catapult for their euthanasia agenda.
Terri's parents have offered Michael a no-fault divorce and a generous financial settlement to become Terri's legal guardians, and he won't do it. He does have a shack-up fiance that he has created two children with, but why would he not want the divorce and money? Obviously there is something more to this story.
I strongly encourage you to go to Janette's blog http://www.commonsenserunswild.typepad.com/ and go through her postings and links. I am going to contact Governor Jeb Bush's office and voice my concerns regarding this issue and I hope all of you do as well.
