In the great thinkers category, we've got The Material Girl; yes, the one and only Madonna.
MADONNA WARNS: ALL WILL GO TO HELL IF DON'T TURN FROM WICKED BEHAVIOR; 'MOST PRIESTS ARE GAY'**Exclusive Details**
The former Material Girl now believes "the beast is the modern world that we live in!"
"The material world. The physical world. The world of illusion, that we think is real. We live for it, we're enslaved by it. And it will ultimately be our undoing," Madonna explains in her new documentary film, I'M GOING TO TELL YOU A SECRET.
In the movie, which will premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City on Tuesday, Madonna warns how people "are going to go to hell, if they don't turn from their wicked behavior."
The singer, who is also promoting the upcoming release of her new music CD, declares: "Most priests are gay."
"I refer to an entity called 'The Beast'. I feel I am describing the world that we live in right now. To me 'The Beast' is the modern world that we live in."
She's mentally ill. Someone else has a problem with her as well.
BOY GEORGE: 'MADONNA IS A HYPOCRITICAL HOMOPHOBE'
Gay pop star BOY GEORGE has slammed MADONNA for embracing the Kabbalah, the mystical offshoot of Judaism which preaches homosexuality is a disease.
The former CULTURE CLUB singer is horrified the MATERIAL GIRL flirted with lesbianism - most famously in her controversial kisses with BRITNEY SPEARS and CHRISTINA AGUILERA at 2003's MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS - yet supports a religion which believes homosexuals can be cured.
He fumes, "I have a problem with Madonna's devotion to Kabbalah, because I watched a documentary that said that Kabbalah believes that gay people are diseased and can be cured."She's such a hypocrite. This is the woman who has embraced homosexuality and used it to her advantage."
Madonna, sweetheart, you can't have it both ways. Either you're an upstanding citizen or you're a scank, choose one so we can continue with our humble, mediocre lives.
Yeah, right, Madonna. Like I am going to get spiritual advice from you.
And how in the hell would she know that "most priests are gay"?
I'll cut Madonna a break for once. When somone beomes more moral I don't bring up their past deeds.
As for boy george, "Yes I really want to hurt You. Yes I really want to make you cry."
Posted by: bigwhitehat at October 18, 2005 12:40 AMIf I want advice on how to be successful in music, or how to be a whore, I will consult Madonna.
Besides that, she can keep her opions about morality to herself.
It's great if she really has cleaned up her act, but let's see her stay that way for a few years before the holier than thou act.
Wasn't she playing kissy-face with B. Spears on TV just a couple of years ago?
Posted by: jimmyb at October 18, 2005 06:01 AMHow sad for England. They have two queens with no fashion sense.
Posted by: BobG at October 18, 2005 09:30 AMThe first thing I thought when seeing this story was "Wow, Madonna is writing the Book of Ecclesiastes." Nothing like people who have partaken in every conceivable hedonistic pleasure ultimately standing on a soapbox and condeming the behavior.
BWH, hilarious comment.
Posted by: Admin Worm at October 18, 2005 10:53 AMFirst off, I will admit that I have liked a lot of Madonna's music. *ducks head & blushes* All the hoopla that surrounded it; not so much.
But the fact is, every time that she has had some kind of project or some such to sell, she does something "shocking," buzz is created and she laughs all the way to the bank.
She is capitalism personified!
The funny thing is that she has pushed the boundaries sooo far that now, about the only thing left to her in the "shock arsenal" is to be traditional.
Next thing you know, she'll be out stumping for some Republican (or Tory, like whatever) political candidate.
That's frickin' funny Bohemian; you might be on to something there!!!!
