I'm Back, I'm Back

Got back last night and thankfully got a good night's rest. The hotel's mattresses and pillows broke the suck-o-meter scale and my back and neck have felt like they were a lab experiment to test how much pain a housewife can stand. It's good to be home.

We had a good time, San Antonio and it's surrounding areas were very pretty. It's always difficult going from a semi-arid climate like Colorado to the wet blanket that smacks you across the face when you step off the plane into heat that contains humidity as well. I'm sure all five of us must have looked funny when we walked outside the airport and had to stand and wait for the shuttle.

Whenever we go anywhere we always think "We could buy a vacation home here" but realistically it would be too pricey. Well, not in San Antonio. You can purchase a bare-bones tract home for $80,000 there; here it's more like $180,000 for the equivalent home. Even my kids were saying that THEY could pay that kind of a mortgage with pocket change. I tried to explain to them that it's all relative; that wages were probably much lower in comparison, but geez, $80,000? That's hard to overlook.

Better go, I need to get my duck's in a row today. I'm expecting to be back blogging tomorrow, and I need to get past my anger with the last Cotillion; it wasn't promoted well. I used my Vagina's Monologue post and I highly doubt it will go anywhere because of it. I had hoped that God would use that post, but, a ball was dropped. I'm upset.

See ya later.

Welcome back, Ms. Experiment, now the fun begins again.

Glad you're back, Stacy. Sorry those Texas mattresses gave you such a pain, but you know we're just a few generations away from cowboys sleeping on the rock-hard plains, so I guess they don't truck much with poofy, comfortable mattresses there in SA.

Was Schlitterbahn better the second day?

Uh oh, I hope I didn't drop the ball. I'll go back through your archives and find your post and put it up on my site if that will help.

No Carol, not you. I'll name no names, but it's really not that hard to figure out. I'll leave it with this, if you do not have the time to properly host Cotillion, than don't do it. You know as well as I do Carol that hosting is a huge responsibility and takes alot of time to piece together. When my promotional Cotillion posts are better than what the actual hostess has up, there's a problem. Great, now I'm going to get myself into trouble. Rule #1 for Cotillion is that we don't critisize each other.

Muley-sorry we didn't meet up, but I enjoyed our phone conversation. Colorado is also not too far from sleeping on the dirt as well.

Jeff, Nettie and Paul-thanks for keeping the conversation going while I was gone.

Yeah Stacy - I went over there and saw that how it was posted. I don't think anyone will say anything though about critizing the Cotillion. But just in case, I got your back. ;-)

I did post your Vagina Monogologue on my site but then I posted the Click4Cathy thing. I promise to repost the Vagina Monologue when it will get more coverage. Thanks.

Good to have you back, you were missed.

Thank you so much Carol. I completely expected to come back to good Tuesday numbers, like we all usually get, and it wasn't even close to my normal Tuesday. Whatever, it is only blogging; not like the world's gonna end. Oohhh, did I get my priorities in order while on vacation?

Thanks Bob, glad to be back and am looking forward to having the time to surf.

Submit it again for this week. It DESERVES respect.
And submit it to the Carnival of the Vanities, too.

Good to have you back, Stacy. Anytime I'm at a hotel or motel, I just reckon back to a couple of years ago when "bed" was a fartsack on the ground, hopefully not too rocky or too muddy. Generally, I sleep just fine.

I reckon the problem, if any, with your "cooter* monologue" post was that it was a little deeper and more spiritual than many can handle. Guarantee, there is someone out there who needed to hear those thoughts, and because you wrote and posted them, they were there waiting when they came looking.

*I just really cain't use that other word.

You were missed. Thanks for coming back.
