Ron has tagged me with the movie one.
Here we go:
Teen years: Sixteen Candles, Nightmare On Elm Street, Rocky movies, Breakfast Club
Adult years: The English Patient, Like Water For Chocolate, Farewell My Concubine, The Joy Luck Club, Urban Cowboy, The Piano
Recent years: It's all shit now. Madagascar was good. So was Revenge Of The Sith (we needed to know that piece of the puzzle). Passion Of The Christ was fabulous. Everyone should see The Passion.
All-time favorite: Sixteen Candles. That's has remained my favorite since it came out.
The three bloggers I tag: Jeff, Bob and Muley. I chose them because their all older than I am and their choices I know will be interesting.
Posted by Stacy at July 28, 2005 10:06 AM | TrackBackI too, thought the Passion was a great movie. Fantastic actually.
But let me ask you one question, do you think that a man, after taking the beating he took, could carry a cross let alone ,standup, or be alive for that matter?
I think they overdid the beating - unless there was divine intervention, which I thought was not involved?
Thanks for playing along sweetie. I don't like them either, but hey they can be fun

Posted by: Stacy at July 28, 2005 08:32 PMI LOVE 16 CANDLES! LOVE IT! It's like one of my favorite movies of all time. I saw it recently and it's still hilarious. I keep waiting for The Donger to show up one morning in my front yard, hanging from a tree.
Thanks for the tag (I guess?) To show you what a true blog virgin I am, this is the first time I've been tagged by anyone. Seriously. I'm honored it was by you. Does this mean I buy dinner?
Posted by: Muley at July 29, 2005 01:13 AMI need a day or two to think on this but I will post my movies before the weekend is over.
Posted by: BobG at July 29, 2005 08:37 AMYeah, what BobG said. Over the weekend. I promise.
No, really, I promise.
Why are you laughing?

I personally think the beating goes beyond what a person could take, but I am not a doctor. I also have problems with the "divine intervention" argument, as that takes away from Jesus being fully human and fully God.
I think the torture and beating scenes are perhaps a bit overdone, though probably fairly accurate. I think they were done that way to drive home the point of exactly the magnitude of the sacrifice Jesus was making for our salvation.
Posted by: Ken at July 29, 2005 09:59 AMPassion overdone? Perhaps, but with everything I've read about Roman crucifixtion it was indeed that gory. I took it as a first hand witness to the sacrifice of my Messiah. I'm scum and he did this for me. Thanks for participating boys. Bob I know that you normally don't do these, but I'm very curious as to what your choices would be.
Posted by: Stacy at July 29, 2005 10:22 AMWhere's your tag, Jeff? I didn't see it...
