I do not claim that
I do not claim that the Republican Party is perfect, but I have been reminded these past few days why I chose the road to the GOP. My political genesis came from a questionnaire in the Denver Post many years ago. It was a simple test that told you where you sat politically, I discovered that I was a conservative Republican. Since that test, the political positions for the Dems has fled far to the left and the Republicans have remained closer to center. There are many issues I have with my own party but none are significant enough for me to be guilty of mutiny.
Any regular reader of my blog knows that my main concerns are social issues. The Dems consistently molest morals and I find myself loathing that party more daily. How a party that had pure roots (not including the slavery and segregation thing) turn into a mercenary for the immoral? Would Scoop Jackson approve of the lack of morals that exist in that party now? I highly doubt it.
In listening to Barbara Boxer, Robert Byrd, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy the past week grilling Condi Rice, I've developed an even deeper pride in who is running our federal government. None of the afore mentioned senators have the right to say anything. They are making fools out of themselves and their party. The word hypocrite is constantly streaming through my mind. Robert Byrd used to be high-up in the KKK, maybe that's why he doesn't like Dr. Rice. Ted Kennedy is guilty of murder, John Kerry and Robert Byrd both, have set records for pork-barrel spending. And Barbara Boxer? She is one of the most immoral liberals there is. When you fight to protect criminals, when you fight to protect pornography, when you fight to protect a woman's right to kill her helpless baby, I have to think that there is a special place in Hell for individuals such as her.
Here locally, a candidate, Mary Hodge, was seeking re-election this past November. She fought to keep internet porn accessible in public libraries. She fought to keep public school employees from having to go through a background check. How, on God's green earth, can a woman who is a mother, fight for pornography and criminals? How?!?! You know what I have to say now? Keep talking, keep fighting your ridiculous fights. Know why? America is catching on and it won't be too much longer that they will be burning you at the stake!!
