I See Blog People

Quickly, because who knows how long my frickin' Direcway Broadband by satellite is going to work, (that's a whole other story, I'm looking into alternatives): I've got a few pictures for y'all.
Me with the one and only Vodkapundit.

Thanks to Dorkafork the picture of me with Protein Wisdom god, Jeff has been removed. Jeff told me I could post it, but he was drunk when he said that. But here's the real question dork; do we listen to Jeff when he's drunk or when he's sober?

And last, but not least,
Darren from Colorado Conservative.

It was a fun evening, but we left before everyone had too much to drink, don't know about anything after that.

Met some other great bloggers, the guys from Resurrection Song. And a fellow Munuvian, Rae from A Likely Story. I had a nice time, but damn I'm not photogenic.

The guy who didn't want his pic taken? Probably didn't want his wife/mistress/girlfriend to think he was lusting after you.

"but damn I'm not photogenic."

Funny how critical we are of ourselves. What an objective observer sees as a beautiful women, the subject sees as flawed. Whatever you're seeing, Stacy, rest assured that most of us don't.

No, his wife was around. They have an adorable son; this toddler boy of their's pinched the wairess's butt, it was hilarious.

That was me, having some difficulty with the site today.

Thanks for posting the pictures! You look great so shutup! Wish I could have been there.

Yeah, and I'm not a guy.
Thanks for the pictures, Stacy. Welcome home.

Glad you had a good time, Stacy. But methinks you probably did have too much to drink if you think you aren't photogenic. Geez - you're gorgeous!

I don't drink, dead nephew, drunk driver. I'll be hitting that strongly next month on the anniversay of his death, or murder as I like to call it. Nothing but Diet Coke for this housewife.

Ya know I keep intended to, but get caught up in assorted conversations with folks I know & never make it around to searching out other munuvians. Shame, as if nothing else I think Pixy would have liked it for us all to have at least shaken hands.

But it was a pleasure almost meeting you. :)

Oh & ditto on the "you are photogenic" talk. It's nice that you're humble about your appearence, but humility serves no purpose when it denies reality. :)

Well, you wouldn't be able to find me on the MuNu blogroll, they haven't done it yet. The several e-mails have done nothing to motivate Pixy. It did get a bit crowded and I know I didn't speak to everyone I wanted to. Well, that and husband and I know when to get the hell out of Dodge.

So sorry about your nephew - what a tragedy. Yup, he was definitely murdered. Diet Coke is my drink, too - for similar reasons.

Posted by: Valerie at August 21, 2005 04:58 PM

Yeah. The Rocky Mountain bloggers make us Bear Flag people (the SoCal chapter) look so sedate: we do champagne brunches, with coffee/OJ for the non-drinkers, and mimosas for the ones who do drink.

During my 11 years of not drinking at all, I could never find the right alternative, since caffeine is a no-no for me after, say, three in the afternoon. And ice water makes me cold. Lately, if I don't want to drink (when I'm having dinner with the husband, for instance) I just ask for water without ice. At home, Diet Decaf Dr. Pepper.

If something happened to one of my nephews I'd ask my husband to lock me in the house to keep me from doing something unacceptable to the perpetrator. I admire your strength: I just don't know how I'd cope.

Next month is the four year anniversary, I plan on blogging on it quite a bit.

O.K. Folks, this woman is drop-dead-goregous. And, Stacy, hon, you are veryphotogenic :D

Posted by: Rae at August 21, 2005 07:16 PM

Sounds like a fun time was had by all. I'm sorry to have missed it but will definitely be at the next get-together ... even if I have to host it myself. :)

I'm jealous...I wanna get my picture taken with you.

What a great idea, I hope Arizona has a meeting sometime soon.

Posted by: BobG at August 22, 2005 08:46 AM

Stacy, you most certainly are photogenic.

Posted by: bob at August 22, 2005 05:08 PM

It was nice meeting you and your husband. Sorry if I was a little tipsy by then; normally I'm just a Guinness guy, but every time I go to these things I end up doing shots, which aren't as friendly to me as they were back in college.
