Heartbreaking

Not sure how many of you have heard this, but I've been devasted by it since it came out last week.

In short, (I recommend the link) a grandmother is accused of locking up her 13 year-old son in a dog kennel 4 times a week for 11 hours at a time for the past 3 years. She stated that she did this to protect him from being on the streets while she was at work.

Commerce City is not too far away from me and knowing that something this horrific was happening to a good kid is terrifying. The neighbors never suspected anything nor did the family. This only came out because someone overheard this boy telling another child about it and the eavesdropper told his mother who contacted the authorities.

I love my children far above anything else. You cradle them in your arms at their birth knowing that there could never be anything else greater happen in your world, and then you have another child, reliving the experience all over again. Mistreating children, when they are a wondrous gift from our Maker is unforgivable. I hope this woman fries in Hell and her years in jail are full of violence and maltreatment.

Lord, heal this boy and let him know that there are many of us out here who are concerned for him.

For Real Y'all

DSC00248.JPG

You say "whoa, Stacy, what is up with this?"

Not only did we awake to dead chickens this morning, the pump in our well decided that this would be a great day to quit (far worse than the chickens). I found someone willing to work Sunday to pull the pump and replace it with a new one. Complete pain in the ass!!! No water all day.

Anyway, a few months ago we had a fancy filter placed on our well. It uses a chemical to ionize sulfur so it can be trapped in a filter. This chemical, combined with the bleach you MUST use to sanitize the well after anything is done to it, turned our water purple.

I thought all of you would enjoy this picture. I release it to the Internet. Go my child, entertain the world.

Bull Pit

I have been biting my tongue on this subject since I began blogging almost a year ago. But I've had it, no more; and really I would love to see a national movement to exterminate this breed of dog.

Last week in Aurora, a 10 year-old boy was attacked by his family's three pit bulls. Neighbors heard the boy and the dogs and men armed with a baseball bat and large sticks beat the three dogs off the boy but not before he was seriously injured. I heard this morning on the news that they had to amputate the boys arm and that he would require massive reconstructive surgery in the coming years.

I am sick of turning on the news and seeing children, and adults, across this nation being killed by this breed. One local radio show last week dedicated their entire program to Pit Bulls. Many breeders called in with legitimate information on this breed. Pit Bulls were originally bred to kill bears, BEARS!!! What kind of chance does a child, or an adult even, stand against a dog bred to kill a bear? And there is a belief out there with breeders that these dogs have been so interbred that they are literally retarded now. That combined with the type of person who owns this breed, someone who is violent them self, makes for a deadly combination.

The ironic thing about this story is that come January 31st of '06, one of the toughest bans in the nation regarding this breed will be instilled in Aurora. Denver has had an outright ban on pit bulls for awhile and now Aurora has followed their lead. Pit Bulls, along with some other breeds, are not entirely banned from Aurora, but the criteria to own one of these animals is so stringent that it makes owning one virtually impossible.

Yesterday I spoke with my neighbor regarding Pit Bulls; he stated that he once owned one and it was a good dog until it turned two. He said that the dog became so vicious that he had to have it put down. Others that I know who have owned one state similar stories.

Two good things about this story; one, the boy lived. He's very injured, but he is alive. Two, the dogs belonged to the family of the victim. This scenario usually plays out that a Pit Bull got loose and attacked a child in the neighborhood.

Now, I don't want any negative comments or hate mail about this, you will be deleted and banned. If you're someone who defends this breed than you have some facts that you need to digest. Go tell your defenses of this breed to the parents of children killed by them. Go tell your defenses to a family here that lost their mother a few years ago because the neighbors Pit Bulls escaped and had to be shot to be stopped from killing an additional family member. This breed being present in public society is a threat and equates to Mountain Lions roaming the streets. This is a public safety concern and needs to be treated as such. Denial threatens the safety of our children.

Call Me Old-Fashioned

Like I said, call me old-fashioned; I'm fine with that.

Maggie sent me this, apparently black Christmas trees are the hot new trend in Europe. Now, I can see the appeal of using this tree if you've decorated your home in a contemporary style. But there is something special about traditional Christmas trees.

Y.U.C.K.

But searching around, guess what is the hot new trend for Christmas trees here in the states? Upside-down trees. Yes, upside-down. They come in a few different models; stands, ceiling mount or wall mount.

Here at the housewife's home, we purchase a real tree every December; real. The makers of the upside-down tree claim that ornaments hang better and you can place larger presents at the base of this tree. This idea isn't a new one however. In centuries past trees were turned upside-down as well.

Of course, if this was done in the past; what's really old-fashioned?

Redneck Bitch Comes Out Of The Closet

In my "I'm Cured" entry, I received a hateful comment. Well I just received this little item in my e-mail from "Redneck Bitch". This is why I hate many Christians. I chose to seperate myself from this kind of Christian a long time ago, most were hypocrites. They claimed to be Godly but in the mean time were doing the church secretary. They do not understand the importance of women in the church or the world.

No Brian, I do not pick and chose what I want out of the Bible, and actually I have been cleaning up my mouth. I hang with a group who has brought out filthy language in me lately that I am not proud of. But I had already started cleaning it up before you attempted to bring it to my attention. So once again Redneck Bitch, Brian, or whoever you are; bite me. And face it Brian, you're a Pharisee. I'm confident in my role with God, with my husband and as a mother. Too bad you just don't get it. And really, how do you think God will find favor with you when you critisize me for standing up for Him with my aggressive opinions?

Stacy,

I hate to break it to you, but I'm really a conservative male.

I was (mostly) serious about what I said about your role as a woman, and that's why I posed as a woman on your blog. I was afraid you'd call me a sexist pig if you knew I was a man. That's what most "conservative" women do when I tell them that I think we ought to go back to the traditional role for all
women. I had no idea you'd think I was a sarcastic feminist.

But please, think about it. This independent sense of "self worth" is just feminist rhetoric creeping into your conscience without you realizing it. You say you're "conservative" but you're not. A true conservative, traditional woman would not have a foul mouth or strong opinions. She would not be blogging, as that is basically speaking in the public forum.

The Bible is very clear that women should not be part of the public forum. But for some reason, modern "Christian" women believe they can pick and choose what they like out of the Bible. Why is that?

Now, I might agree with most of your opinions. And I will give you credit for being a housewife. That puts you above Ann Coulter, who is an old spinster with a career and no kids. But when it comes down to it, you are still taking on a man's role when you express your opinions so aggressively.

Just consider what I've said. Do you really think God will find favor with opinionated women on judgment day?

Sincerely,
Brian

Not Another P#^!$ Week

I promise, I won't subject you all to that again. But this is funny; it might explain why Germans are so angry.

Penis News:German Penises Can't Fill The Average Condom

Germany has demanded a rethink of guidelines on condom size after finding its average penis did not measure up.

Doctors recently were ordered by the government's health department to check out the average size suggested by Brussels. They reported the overestimated size of the average penis by almost 20% and insisted other countries will discover the same.

Urologist Gunther Hagler, head of the team compiling the research, said: "by checking hundreds of patients they found German penises were too small for standard condoms."On average they were 14.48 cms long and 3.95 cms wide. That makes them much smaller than the standard condom size of 17 cms in length and 5.6 cms in width."

He denied the German man was any smaller than the rest of Europe. And if other countries were to check out their men's assets they would find the average condom sizing is mistaken in its calculations as well.

Some say with this new discovery, Hitler was the last big prick to live in Germany.

Not Bisexual, Bimoral

In the great thinkers category, we've got The Material Girl; yes, the one and only Madonna.

MADONNA WARNS: ALL WILL GO TO HELL IF DON'T TURN FROM WICKED BEHAVIOR; 'MOST PRIESTS ARE GAY'

**Exclusive Details**

The former Material Girl now believes "the beast is the modern world that we live in!"

"The material world. The physical world. The world of illusion, that we think is real. We live for it, we're enslaved by it. And it will ultimately be our undoing," Madonna explains in her new documentary film, I'M GOING TO TELL YOU A SECRET.

In the movie, which will premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City on Tuesday, Madonna warns how people "are going to go to hell, if they don't turn from their wicked behavior."

The singer, who is also promoting the upcoming release of her new music CD, declares: "Most priests are gay."

"I refer to an entity called 'The Beast'. I feel I am describing the world that we live in right now. To me 'The Beast' is the modern world that we live in."

From Drudge

She's mentally ill. Someone else has a problem with her as well.

BOY GEORGE: 'MADONNA IS A HYPOCRITICAL HOMOPHOBE'

Gay pop star BOY GEORGE has slammed MADONNA for embracing the Kabbalah, the mystical offshoot of Judaism which preaches homosexuality is a disease.

The former CULTURE CLUB singer is horrified the MATERIAL GIRL flirted with lesbianism - most famously in her controversial kisses with BRITNEY SPEARS and CHRISTINA AGUILERA at 2003's MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS - yet supports a religion which believes homosexuals can be cured.

He fumes, "I have a problem with Madonna's devotion to Kabbalah, because I watched a documentary that said that Kabbalah believes that gay people are diseased and can be cured.

"She's such a hypocrite. This is the woman who has embraced homosexuality and used it to her advantage."

Madonna, sweetheart, you can't have it both ways. Either you're an upstanding citizen or you're a scank, choose one so we can continue with our humble, mediocre lives.

Silo Goes Straight

It's true, Silo the gay penguin has gone straight. After six years in a same-sex relationship with fellow penguin Roy, he's found heterosexual love. This article I found over at The Chicago Tribune I thought was a delightful dissection of this story.

Now I'm not going to dive too deep into this one. My long time readers might remember a post I did ages ago regarding a gay rooster I had. I posted that piece in my early Blogger days and deleted it in attempting to speed up my blog only to figure out that the problem was just Blogger. Perhaps I'll recompose that piece one day soon.

I'm one of those freaks that believes homosexuality is both inherent and/or chosen. I have someone very close to me that struggles with their sexuality and in learning of her childhood experiences; her current confusion makes much sense. I will always remain with what the Bible says regarding homosexuality, but it doesn't mean I'm going to be an ass to someone who is not heterosexual.

Back to Silo; what I think this proves is that the perpetuation of the species in the animal kingdom prevailed. In this case when given the opportunity to go about it in the natural order way, natural order won. Now perhaps Silo will struggle in the future, maybe he'll be confused. We might turn on the television one day and see Silo downing a fifth of whiskey because it's all too much for him to handle. He'll be sitting on his rock looking at his loving female partner with their baby, and then catching a glimpse of Roy wooing young male penguins; who knows what the future holds for this odd love triangle? All I know is that if it's reported that an animal psychotherapist is brought in one day, I won't be surprised.

Hooker Bear Revival/Another Self Banning

For those of you who unaware, I had a little problem over a posting I did about Build-A-Bear Workshop. Here is the second installment for this concern of mine.

Several months ago when in a Build-A-Bear Workshop, my middle boy said quite loudly "hey look mom, it's hooker bear". She was dressed, in my opinion, inappropriately. I posted on this event and it was picked up by a New York reporter, a conservative one, with a blog even. But she however, completely misunderstood the posting. She accused me of saying in my post that the bear was labeled "hooker bear", which I did no such thing. How anyone could have assumed that is beyond me.

For a few weeks the CEO of BABW and I corresponded because my posting was brought to her attention. She was genuinely concerned for their product and wanted to know exactly what I saw and thought. My opinion remains the same today as it did at that time; the bear was dressed trampy. I received some hate mail, most likely from girls that worked at BABW, I received negative comments; and in the reporters blog I was verbally assaulted. Most said "how would her child even know what a hooker was anyway?". This of course from individuals who don't read my blog and were unaware that the child in question was 15 years old. Duhhhhhh!!!!!

Well, in the self-banning category again, I somewhat banned myself from BABW. I only pay in cash there now fearing that my name is hung up in a back room somewhere with a bulls-eye surrounding it. A few days ago, we went back to the mall and into BABW. Once again, we saw a bear wearing a cami, black leather mini skirt and black leather boots. And in addition this time, the skirt was so short that we could see the panties they placed on the bear.

Perhaps I'm too modest, perhaps I'm prude; but I still feel that this is inappropriate for a store that caters to young children. I tire of the overexposure of skin in our society and I don't think that dressing a bear with provocative clothing helps the situation any. When your daughters are reared in a society where their clothing is so minimal that the exposure of undergarments means nothing, then one needs not think too hard about what the following generations will consider acceptable.

For Shame

Ronny boy needed this years ago.

Bizarre News Indian Police Punish Porn Watching Boys

July 26, 2005

200 teenagers in India were made to do 10 sit-ups each after police caught them watching a pornographic film in a cinema.

Officers interrupted the X-rated viewing, in the Balasore district, after being tipped off by concerned local residents.

Police forced those caught in the act to publicly carry out the abdominal exercise as a punishment for watching the pornography in public, an act which is illegal in India.

The culprits were then made to take a public vow never to watch a sleazy movie again.

Police Chief Sanjeev Panda is instructing his officers to punish viewers rather than those responsible for screening the dirty movies in a bid to stop the increasingly popular trend.

He said: "Earlier we acted against the cinema hall owners and their staff but it failed to effectively check screening of obscene movies, so we decided to crack down on the audience."

Swiped from here.

Ten sit-ups? Please, I do 100 when I work out. Really it could be the answer to America's obese youth problem. 'Okay everytime you watch porn you have to exercise'. How many boys or men are willing to do 10 sit-ups in exchage for porn? What does Ron have to say?

Note, today is #2's first day of school, they are all gone all day now. I usually go and celebrate this day by hitting the batting cages, ALONE!!! :) I'll be away from the 'sphere.

Gotta Love A Man In Uniform

Can't figure out if this is every policeman's fantasy or not.

Bizarre News German police mistaken for strippers

July 26, 2005

Two German policemen were left stunned last week after being mistaken for strippers while investigating a noise complaint.

The officers were greeted by a group of women with cries of "the strippers are here" when they visited premises in the north-western city of Bremen.

Before they could explain they were genuine police officers, the two men were surrounded by the group of "very interested" women.

Luckily, before the randy ladies managed to tear off their uniforms the two terrified officers whipped out their badges and proved they were real policemen.

After the excitement had calmed down, the men persuaded the women to turn their music down and left them to wait for the real strippers.

Swiped from here.

We gals can't resist a man in uniform. Unplanned #1 use to work at a grocery store. One night he came home complaining about the attitudes of the women/girls when the firemen came in to shop. He said they were running around telling all the other women that the firemen were here. I attempted to explain chivalry to him and what it means to a woman to be saved and protected; but he was sickened by the sparkle in his mother's eye when I spoke of how much I enjoyed shopping with the firemen present as well.

I Digress

Dear Mr. President,

I recently filled up my gas tank at a local station and was disheartened with the high prices. I have just one question at this time Mr. President:

WHERE THE HELL IS ALL OF THAT OIL WE WENT TO WAR FOR? THE LIBERALS AND THE MSM KEEP TELLING ME THAT THAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF GOING INTO IRAQ; BUT WHERE THE HELL IS MY .50 PER GALLON GAS? HASN'T HALLIBURTON FRAC'D THE WELLS YET? HAVEN'T AMERICAN OIL COMPANIES SET THEIR DERRICKS YET? WHY AREN'T THERE OIL TANKERS IN THE ATLANTIC BURSTING AT THE SEAMS BECAUSE THEIR BELLIES ARE OVERFILLED? WHY HASN'T GREENPEACE BEEN OUT CLEANING UP AND PROTESTING ALL OF THESE OIL SPILLS THAT WERE SUPPOSE TO BE HAPPENING? SO CONFIDENT OF YOUR PLAN MR. PRESIDENT, IN JUNE OF LAST YEAR I PURCHASED A GAS GUZZLING SUV. I SALIVATED AT THE MOUTH KNOWING THAT ONE DAY SOON I WOULD BE ABLE TO FILL IT'S 24 GALLON TANK FOR LESS THAN THE COST OF A BEAUTY SCHOOL HAIRCUT. ON THURSDAY MORNING, HOUSEWIFE AND HER MEN STEP ON A PLANE FOR TEXAS; SHOULD I EXPECT THE FLIGHT ATTENDENT TO BE STANDING AT THE DOOR WITH A COLLECTION PLATE TO COVER THE COST OF FUEL? "THIS IS YOUR CAPTAIN SPEAKING; UNLESS ALL OF YOU PONY UP ANOTHER $50 A PIECE THIS PLANE AIN'T PICKING IT'S ASS UP OFF THE GROUND". PLEASE MR. PRESIDENT, I BEG YOU, GET THE OIL WE WENT TO WAR FOR.

Slightly Off Theme

Bizarre News-Maria Sharapovas Breasts For Pillows

July 22, 2005, 5:15:42

A Japanese firm has designed a range of pillows in the shape of famous Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova's breasts.

The breast pillow, created by the firm Sharanpowan, is modelled on the blonde beauty's ample charms which users can snuggle into.

Each cushion comes complete with a cover in the style of a tennis shirt - available in white, pink or yellow - that can be removed to reveal more intimate details.

The breast pillow costs $17 and although it is currently only available in Japan if it proves to be popular it could also be released throughout Europe.

What I would like to know is if she actually modelled for them or if they just guessed. No matter how popular my blog becomes I would never take part in selling pillows shaped like my breasts; I'd lose all my visitors.

What kind of man would actually enjoy a pillow like this? Oh wait, I know who.

OUCH!!

All right, guess; what's this woman about to do?

noeffinway.jpg

Yet another reason I'm proud to be a Christian. How devasting this practice is for women. I'll spare you the gory details of female clitoris mutilation; go to the extended entry below if you're a brave soul.

I'll leave it with this:

It's there for a reason, no cutting please.

Swiped From Here

Female circumcision, or mutilation of the genitals, is one of the most political areas of women's health. Worldwide it is estimated that well over 100 million women have been subjected to it.

Supporters of the practice say it is done for cultural and religious reasons, but opponents say that not only is it potentially life-threatening - it is also an extreme form of oppression of women.

Those who persist in the practice in Senegal will now face a prison term of between one and five years.

Female circumcision is mainly carried out in western and southern Asia, the Middle East and large areas of Africa.

It is also known to take place among immigrant communities in the USA, Canada, France, Australia and Britain, where it is illegal.

In total it is estimated that two million a year are subjected to genital mutilation.

There are three main types of circumcision:

The removal of the tip of the clitoris; total removal of the clitoris and surrounding labia; the removal of the clitoris and labia and the sewing up of the vagina, leaving only a small opening for urine and menstrual blood - a process known as infibulation.

So drastic is the mutilation involved in the latter operation that young brides have to be cut open to allow penetration on their wedding night and are customarily sewn up afterwards.

The aim of the process is to ensure the woman is faithful to her future husband. Some communities consider girls ineligible for marriage if they have not been circumcised.

Girls as young as three undergo the process, but the age at which the operation is performed varies according to country and culture.

Health workers say that the operation is often carried out in unsanitary conditions.

Razor blades, scissors, kitchen knives and even pieces of glass are used, often on more than one girl, which increases the risk of infection.

Anaesthesia is rarely used.

Some girls die as a result of haemorraging, septicemia and shock.

It can also lead to long-term urinary and reproductive problems.

However, girls who have not been circumcised are considered "unclean" in many cultures, and can be treated as harlots by other women. Many men believe the folklore which says they will die if their penis touches a clitoris.

Campaigns are working
Female circumcision is part of the fabric of many African societies

Due to health campaigns, female circumcision has been falling in some countries in the last decade. In Kenya, a 1991 survey found that 78% of teenagers had been circumcised, compared to 100% of women over 50. In Sudan, the practice dropped by 10% between 1981 and 1990.

Several governments have introduced legislation to ensure the process is only carried out in hospitals by trained doctors.

Other countries such as Egypt have banned the operation altogether, but there is significant opposition to change because of the traditional nature of the process and health workers think a less confrontational approach, such as Ntanira Na Mugambo, could be more successful.

Ntanira Na Mugambo, also known as 'circumcision by words', has been developed in rural areas of Kenya by local and international women's health organisations.

It involves a week-long programme of community education about the negative effects of female genital mutilation, culminating in a coming of age ceremony for young women.

The young women are secluded for a week and undergo classes in reproduction, anatomy, hygiene, respect for adults, developing self-esteem and dealing with peer pressure.

Family members also undergo health education sessions and men in the community are taught about the negative effects of female circumcision.

Health workers believe the programme works because it does not exert a blunt prohibition on female genital mutilation, but offers an attractive alternative.

Woman Grows Penis

I thought that perhaps this might be my last entry that was penis related, but maybe I should run with this as long as possible. Cotillion Tuesday would break the streak. I could mesh the two but it would most definitely be vulgar.

Anyway, in searching for the lastest penis news I ran across this one. (If you only knew the sites I had to visit to find just the right story for my blog. When you Google penis you enter into territory angels fear to tread. My computer is no longer a virgin.)

From News.com.au

THIN Sandar, a chicken seller in Myanmar, had always dreamed of being a man. When she inexplicably grew a penis last month, the 21-year-old treated it as an awe-inspiring omen - as have the thousands of stunned villagers who have traveled to a pagoda to see him.

"On the morning of the full moon day of June 21, I noticed my thing (sex organ) was not the same as before," Thin Sandar, who now goes by the male name Than Sein, told AFP.

"And my breasts disappeared," Than Sein added. "So I called out and showed it all to my mom and dad. It was very strange."

Woman grows penis.jpg

Strange enough that he has attracted significant attention in this deeply superstitious country, where the unexplained can quickly be exalted to hold powerful spiritual significance.

People privately concede Than Sein is a hermaphrodite. Several medical experts have examined him, and he awaits test results from the central women's hospital.

But few have come forward with a medical explanation of the transformation as they await an official report by the health ministry, whose experts have also examined Than Sein.

"We can not say right now if she has really undergone a sudden gender change," said a township official who declined to be named, adding that Than Sein's birth certificate shows that he was born a girl.

"It can be confirmed when we receive the report from the health ministry, although some medical checkups have shown her to be a true man," he added.

Hermaphrodites, also known as intersexuals, are often born with ambiguous genitalia, or have both testicular and ovarian tissue in a single person.

Medical doctor Aye Sanda Khaing put it in layman's terms in a local journal: "Her penis appeared at the site of her clitoris," the doctor was quoted as saying.

Regardless of the official findings, local villagers and other curious Myanmar nationals are flocking to the Aung Myay Thar Yar pagoda, in this new satellite township 19km from Yangon, to see Than Sein for themselves and make donations to him or the temple.

Up to 400 gather at the pagoda each day, often in a courtyard under colorful umbrellas to ward off the sun's rays, waiting for the chance to talk with and touch Than Sein.

"I have never heard of anything like this, so I came to see him," 21-year-old housewife Thandar Win told AFP.

"If I was not married, then I too would want to become a man!"

When word spread of Than Sein's transformation, locals raced to his home to see for themselves. Authorities, sensing a possible security hazard - and, perhaps, an opportunity - hastily arranged for him to be moved to the pagoda to accommodate more visitors.

Than Sein appeared comfortable with the sudden attention in the new surroundings. Wearing a checkered longyi, the traditional Myanmar pants commonly worn by men, he sat on a rug in the pagoda's side building, flanked by his parents.

"I was so happy," father Kyaw Htay, 46, said about his son's developments. "I wanted other sons so they could offer themselves as Buddhist monks, but I had only two daughters."

Occasionally Than Sein stepped out to talk with excited visitors, who shook his hand, stroked his arm, and wished him well.

A Myanmar state television crew has already interviewed him and awaits the military junta's permission to air the broadcast nationwide.

As he waits for the final test results, Than Sein said he firmly believed he had been transformed, and would enter the monkhood for a period of time and seek spiritual contemplation and guidance before deciding whether to marry and raise a family.

"Whenever I went to the pagoda I prayed to become a man in my next life," he said, referring to the Buddhist concept of rebirth.

"Now I'm happy because my dream won't have to wait until my next life, it's already come true."

The part that gets me is where her dad is happy because now he has a son that can be a buddhist monk, WTF? Or how the 21 year-old housewife stated that if she wasn't already married to a man she would like to become one too!

Good Lord people!!!! These cultures where being a man is exalted drive me insane! It's kind of hard to create men without a uterus! VALUE ME DAMMIT, VALUE ME!!!
