Today is No. 2's 16th birthday. Wow! And his last day of school. His birthday present? Not a car, he can't get his license until December. No, he's getting a tatoo; a Celtic cross. This will be an interesting experience.
AND HERE IT IS:
Oh I hope you take pics of this one. Are you joining him??? Have a great weekend and wish #2 a Happy Birthday from this Georgia blogger!

I'm not a big fan of tatoos (tatooes?), but that one is beautiful! Did it hurt?
Posted by: Valerie at May 19, 2006 07:35 PMHe said it hurt very bad. I like tatooes as long as they're tasteful. No naked chicks, demons, etc. He chose this one because he wanted to 'be marked' outwardly about his faith.
Posted by: Stacy at May 19, 2006 07:59 PMI like the way he thinks! He's a remarkable young man.
Posted by: Valerie at May 19, 2006 10:33 PMI love it, looks great! Very tastefully done! Where's yours??? :)
Posted by: Paula at May 19, 2006 10:57 PMCool! Nice tat... It looks like they did a good job with that. I like the color. Too often people get these just in black. I like the red. Very nice.
Here in WI, you have to be 18 to get a tattoo. Period. So, my daughter has to wait until she is 18... Just like I had to...
For her 16th birthday (in July), I am taking her to the local tatoo and piercing place to get some piercings, though. I got my eyebrow pierced there, and they do a good job. I should get some new hardware while I am there... I also need to get one of my tatooes re-colored (it is on my forearm and has faded over the years).
