Another Advantage To Not Blogging

When one is not spending too much time on the computer, they find that they are able to spend more quality time with their Bowflex and free weights.

Gonna add you back to my blogroll. Yipee!!!

Posted by: Paula at February 14, 2006 12:45 PM

Wow! When I grow up, I want to be just like you! Guess I'd better get busy (right after I finish this chocolate)!

Glad you're back!

So glad you are back. You inspire my arms.

My cousin and wife got a bowflex for Christmas but don't think he has been using it much yet. I urge him to use the bowflex for full-body workouts-take advantage of the quick setups.
Is that what you do?
Whatever you do, keep doing it

'Good Lord!' I mean, 'Lordy!' I mean, 'Holy Moly!' I mean, 'Holy Smoke!' I mean, 'that's one way to make sure the mens in your life stay in line.' I mean, 'wow!' That's impressive, ma'am.

Gonna add you back to my blogroll.

You actually took her off? For shame! I never lost faith. :)

You look awesome, by the way!

She's baaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Posted by: Nettie at February 14, 2006 06:45 PM

I never took you off my blogroll!

Anyway, you look awesome. Do you think a Bowflex would work for me (seriously)? I'm fairly strong for an *old* lady, I do go to Curves almost everyday, and sometimes I do weights. I'd like more definition, though.

Posted by: Valerie at February 14, 2006 07:11 PM

BEAR IN MIND THAT THIS WAS RIGHT AFTER I WORKED OUT, I WAS 'PUMPED UP'.

We love our Bowflex, bought it new off of eBay last spring.

Valerie -

Curves is a good place to start, but it's not difficult enough. Never been to one, but to my knowledge they're 30 minute workouts. Thirty minutes only works for a bit. It's a constant state of stepping it up another level. There are a few things that I'm doing with some heavier weights now that I thought would never happen.

Free weights are the best place to start. You can purchase them at a sporting goods store relatively cheap. Search the Internet for proper form, or even watch some of the shows on FitTV.

I usually start lifting about April every year and keep it up through August. I didn't quit this past time around and have taken it very seriously. I take supplements and take them properly, that's important. Getting started though, make sure you do protein, lean protein, right after lifting. Tuna, chicken breast, etc.

Von -

Watch out, no more troll comments or I'll kick your, oops sorry, thanks for coming by.

Paula -

MWAW!!!!!! I missed you.

SCmommy -

I'm happy to see you here. I was wondering who would find me again.

Darlene -

I'm so happy to see you here. :)

George -

Am I slow? Or do I not know you? Bowflex's are better for muscle toning than the rowing/cardio feature. They come with a great book to get you started. Motivating people to use it? Beats me, I'm naturally high strung and need a place to put it to good use.

Muzzy -

Bueno, bueno. Nice to see you.

Jeff -

Don't worry, I'll protect you.

Teach -

AARRRRRR me matie, nice to have you on deck.

Audrey -

I remember you, my fellow lifter. ;)

Nettie -

BWAHAHAHAHA!! I get it. I'll get your link fixed tomorrow.

You're not just lifting, you're eating right. Nobody gets that ripped who puts a lot of garbage in their body. Glad to see you back. Obviously, a lot of people have missed you.

Posted by: Kevin at February 14, 2006 11:13 PM

That is not fair. I was looking at your picture and Echo hit me upside the head. (It was worth it.)

Posted by: bigwhitehat at February 14, 2006 11:57 PM

Wow. The gangs all here. So give us a new post already...

Posted by: von at February 15, 2006 12:29 AM

Not that I'm trying to pressure you in any way... :)

Posted by: von at February 15, 2006 12:39 AM

Now, if blogging could do that for you, just think about what real workouts could do, eh?
Seriously, welcome back.

Posted by: bob at February 15, 2006 10:44 AM

Glad to see you're back, want to see your front.

Posted by: Ed at February 16, 2006 04:10 AM

Holy cow!!! Welcome back. I want shoulders like that. :)

Posted by: Tony at February 16, 2006 12:33 PM

Chose not to do front view; boobies. Inappropriate.

Posted by: Stacy at February 16, 2006 05:37 PM

"boobies. Inappropriate."

Actually, they're the accessories that're appropriate with any outfit.

Posted by: Kevin at February 16, 2006 11:56 PM
