Not only did we awake to dead chickens this morning, the pump in our well decided that this would be a great day to quit (far worse than the chickens). I found someone willing to work Sunday to pull the pump and replace it with a new one. Complete pain in the ass!!! No water all day.
Anyway, a few months ago we had a fancy filter placed on our well. It uses a chemical to ionize sulfur so it can be trapped in a filter. This chemical, combined with the bleach you MUST use to sanitize the well after anything is done to it, turned our water purple.
I thought all of you would enjoy this picture. I release it to the Internet. Go my child, entertain the world.
Posted by Stacy at November 13, 2005 11:43 PM | TrackBackHey, how did you post this in the future? It's only 10:53 PM EST, and you're 2 time zones west of here. So, you posted this at least 3 hours into the future (time stamp says 11:43 PM, 11/13/05).
Anywho, just keep telling yourself it's cranberry juice and it's good for the urinary tract.
Posted by: Jeff H at November 13, 2005 11:53 PMIt's MuNu's time, I could change it, but hey, it kept you on your toes.
Posted by: Stacy at November 14, 2005 12:03 AMOkay, you've turned water into wine. Have you got any other miracles planned? ;)
My first reaction when I saw that picture was "Wow, cool!", but I'm sure it wasn't nearly that amusing to you, when you turned the faucet on. I, for one, take this whole "running water/clean water" thing for granted, and I'd be incredibly shocked to find purple (or any other color) water in my sink!
Posted by: Sondra at November 14, 2005 03:23 AMWhy are the chickens dead?
Posted by: at November 14, 2005 09:35 AMWhy are the chickens dead?
Obviously, because they drank the water.

Posted by: Jeff H at November 14, 2005 10:48 AMGood thing you did not step into the shower and then turned it on... LOL
Posted by: Louise at November 14, 2005 11:12 AMI just got back from the burning bush, and I have a message for you, "Let those people go already!"
Posted by: Darlene at November 14, 2005 12:38 PMI always wondered what would happen if Barney fell in the garbage disposal.
Posted by: Muley at November 14, 2005 03:56 PMThat's very pretty. Annoying, I'm sure. But pretty.
Posted by: Cyndee at November 14, 2005 04:27 PMI found a joke on another site about you drinking the kool-aid, but really Stacy, a whole well full, that's a little over the top!
Posted by: Crazy Politico at November 14, 2005 07:56 PMYou couldn't pay me to drink our well water even when it is clear. Bottled water, sorry. My husband is the only kool-aid drinker in the house and he's left of me. LOL!!!
Posted by: Stacy at November 14, 2005 08:05 PMVery aesthetically pleasing.
Posted by: Nettie at November 15, 2005 12:59 AMIf you knew more about bottled water you would drink the red stuff first.
Posted by: bigwhitehat at November 15, 2005 02:11 PMHey, I'm stealing the picture for a post at my place, I'll credit you for the picture, but deny you drink the kool-aid.
