Ah, days of past when cheerleaders wore clothes.
And now? This is what the what little girls look up to, hmm.
Anyway, it's Cotillion day and I'm CHEERING ON this weeks hostesses. Go check out these classic babes:
Posted by Stacy at September 20, 2005 12:08 PM | TrackBackKind of on the topic of the "Roller Skating" post, but does anyone else have a problem with these cheerleader type girls wearing those shorts with stuff written on the butt?
Posted by: von at September 20, 2005 06:31 PMEver notice it NEVER says "WIDE LOAD"?
Posted by: Louise at September 20, 2005 08:05 PMYou mean those little tiny shorts that the girls wear that say 'cheer'? It may as well say 'hey, check out my ass'.
Posted by: Stacy at September 20, 2005 09:13 PMThat's exactly what I'm talking about. They say all types of different things. I saw some little girl in the grocery store the other day with some that said "HOT". That's just crazy. No matter what it says. You're directing attention to your daughters ass...
Posted by: von at September 20, 2005 09:19 PMThank God I have sons.
Posted by: Stacy at September 20, 2005 11:09 PMI've got a daughter, and I am honestly scared to death about her becoming a teenager. At least I've got 6 more years (hopefuly) of innocent bliss...
Posted by: von at September 20, 2005 11:14 PMI'm curious - you're criticizing these girls for their skimpy outfits, and you've a number of posts about young girls and the premature sexuality that our culture forces on them, yet the artwork on your blog shows a gal with a negligee-style shirt and her bra hanging out?
What do you really believe?
Posted by: at September 21, 2005 07:31 AMFunny, did you notice the change? I never liked that image, it was the closest to what I was looking for. Hypocrisy? Maybe. The difference is I'm a grown woman, a woman pushing her 37th birthday. I always knew I wouldn't keep that image long. When the person who did my image suggested that we keep that girl and change things a bit, my first question was 'can we put some clothes on her? I never liked the exposed mid-drift'. I have no intentions of ever using her as is again. But if you actually read my blog, these are things that you would have known.
Posted by: Stacy at September 21, 2005 12:16 PMMr. IP 68.45.32.161, you have been banned. I KNOW that you're not familiar with my blog, I have counters that I enter an IP address into and see how many times you've been here. I do not ask that you agree with me, but I do ask for everyone to be cordial. If you cannot make your point respectfully, than don't bother.
Posted by: Stacy at September 21, 2005 01:29 PMAnd you had nothing to do with the change, this has been in the works for about a month. It's not something that I can put together in half an hour.
Posted by: Stacy at September 21, 2005 01:31 PMThat and my blog was never targeted to children.
Posted by: Stacy at September 21, 2005 01:45 PMAnd for anyone wondering why I attacked this guy, he left a nasty comment that I had to delete. Hated to, I rarely delete comments.
