I am a proponent of reality, I am captivated by it and that is partially why I chose the GOP. Since early adulthood I have been unable to read fiction. My literary experiences are limited to the basics-Of Mice And Men, Where The Red Fern Grows, Ethan Frome, etc. From an early age I enjoyed history, biology and geology; and in the book store I make a beeline for the non-fiction. This imperfection of mine extends to movies also, I am the person walking out of the theatre saying, 'that was stupid, so unrealistic, you could never do that'. One of my exceptions is 'stupid-funny' movies, I enjoy disengaging from my brain and just enjoying the simplistic density they provide; that and an occasional chick flic.
Which brings me to this; satellite radio. Last June we purchased a new SUV (bite me tree huggers) with XM Radio. I love truth even if it hurts; so being that the FCC doesn't regulate satellite radio I have learned the real lyrics to many old favorites. It has been an educational experience, one that perhaps I will able to impress others at cocktail parties with one day. (okay, not cocktail parties, but maybe wrestling banquets.) Prince is a favorite of mine, not quite sure why, but wow, you thought the radio versions were kinky, I need a cigarette after I hear Prince on XM. The variety of music satellite radio provides is immense; I have long suspected that I could enjoy big band music and with a station playing nothing but, I do. One day when 2 of my 3 unplanned children are up and out, I'm planning on taking dance lessons faithfully. I love to dance and have learned a few basics but would love to expand my knowledge. I just need to make sure I find a gay dance partner to keep my husband from being too concerned.
