Good day to all, glad

Good day to all, glad you stopped by. My three B's:

BUTTONS:

If you scroll down you'll see that this housewife has been busy playing. I have added a few links in the sidebar that I would like to bring to your attention. 'Search For Sexual Predators' I believe is the most important one. This was not my grand idea, I stole it from An American Housewife. After I went into her link and found two sexual offenders that live somewhat close to us I wanted to post it as well. I know that the technical term is 'Sexual Offender' but I prefer 'Sexual Predator', I think that the first softens it. Next is the 'Terror Alert' button, I have always believed that this was one of the most ridiculous things the Department of Homeland Security could have done. I often suspect that that was the real reason Tom Ridge left his appointment. I find it equivalent to waking up and asking yourself "I wonder what my chances are of being in a car accident today?" And lastly, I have assigned everyone in my blogroll a description, go see what yours is.

BEAST:

I have a new member in my community that posted a piece I requested; Gordon at Beast7's put up something we should all read. After reading a posting at Zach's I was disturbed to learn that the overwhelming majority of our Republican Senators voted against armor for humvees. I asked Gordon, being that he's ex-military, to research it and put up a posting. I think that it would be a good idea for all of us to contact our Senators and see what they have to say about this bill. Despite any differences I might have with Zach and to be honest with ourselves and each other, there are issues that need to be addressed.

BRIDE:

Jennifer Wilbanks and her fiance John Mason are the hot topic. I wanted to hurry up and get my two cents in before they are forgotten. First: I think that she needs to perform community service for lying to Federal investigators. Second: I think that she needs to pay restitution for the man hours spent, and the equipment and facilities used by the multiple departments that were seeking her. Here in Colorado, when a hiker or skier goes into out of limits back country, and the need for a Search and Rescue team arises, the rescued individuals must be pay for their rescue. Colorado began this to deter (mostly the skiers seeking virgin powder) people from going into these areas. They often trigger avalanches and end up under them, dead.

BOB:

Okay, okay, here's the new one: Bob has touched a dear subject of mine. If you want to laugh, go read this posting of his.

A bit long today but I strongly encourage you to follow the links. Take care, love you all.
