Greetings fellow bloggers. This weekend was quite an emotional roller coaster. It was a unique mix of pride, love, anguish and regret all taking place at the same time. I was too busy socializing to take pictures of No. 1's graduation party; so sorry, no pictures.

One bright spot this Monday was news of an 8 year-old girl who had been kidnapped, sexually assaulted and left for dead. Surprisingly, she was found alive. That fact that she was found alive is beyond belief and comes with much joy. But where are we that a girl who was kidnapped, raped and found alive is a good thing? How sickening is it that these stories have become the mainstay of our current media outlets? Tom has posted something I'm linking to remind us of OUR RESPONSIBILITY in issues such as these.
