Changed my mind, wanted to

Changed my mind, wanted to hurry up and get this in. But first, I would like to send a humble shout-out to God; thank you dear Lord that I didn't have to do jury duty; you were there, you knew that I thanked you first, now I just wanted to say it publicly.

Where to begin? I'm not going into great detail about how upset I am with this "compromise" or how much I loathe John McCain. But, with Republicans in control of both the house and the senate, and oh yea, THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH, there is no reason for a compromise. Who in our party has decided that promoting the moderate agenda was the right decision? When you had the religious conservatives come out for you this past November, and now, six months later you decide to be flexible when it comes to judicial nominees?!?! Our judiciary has been in a downward-spiral since the beginning of the Clinton administration (okay, maybe Roe v. Wade); and now, when we have the opportunity to set things straight again, you fail us. Tisk, tisk.

But more importantly this; watching our senators throughout this filibuster has been disgusting. They are suppose to be working for us, the American taxpayer, but instead have chosen to conduct themselves in a most childish, juvenile, manner. Not allowing a vote is absurd. I don't care which side of the aisle antics such as these radiate from, it is wrong to not allow a simple vote.

I liken the Democrats to being the only child with a ball that has decided they don't want to play with the other children because they won't play by his rules. I was next awaiting to turn on C-Span and see Teddy Kennedy, Robert Byrd or Chuck Schumer standing on the senate floor holding their breathe until they turned blue! Grow up children, 280 million people are counting on you to conduct yourselves responsibly!
