The love for rock music

The love for rock music from my youth still continues to this day. It is something that I'm not quite proud of but it is a piece of my personality. I continually flip radio channels and I often end up on our local rock station.

Weeknights at 10:00 p.m. this station broadcasts a syndicated show called Loveline. It is hosted by a therapist and a man who is a radio personality. I can only stomach about 45 seconds of this show; it is filled with explicit sexual content and the therapist is obviously of a liberal mindset. A few nights ago a 16 year-old boy called in with a sexual problem he has been having.

This is close to verbatim "yea, I'm having trouble ejaculating. I started smoking pot two months ago and haven't been able to ejaculate since. My girlfriend got me started on pot and now every time we try and have sex I can't do it".

At that point I changed the station. Unfortunately I know what the response of the therapist most likely was. I have caught enough snippets of this show to know that the therapist is one to take the liberal stance.

Our children are being encouraged by the liberals in our society to be sexually active. They encourage our children to experiment and explore. They are encouraged to discover whether their sexual preferences are heterosexual or not. There is far too much importance placed upon sexuality. It was created by God for a husband and wife, period. When it is removed from it's original purpose there is quite often heartbreak and the repercussions of poor judgment.

Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. Romans 13:13-14

Whether you have any religious beliefs or not, the above statement by the 16 year-old boy should make your body shudder. Where are we headed when the actions of this boy are encouraged? This is why we fight, let's not forget.
